The meeting planner provides a powerful interface for planning your meetings and events. It is the simplest and most effective way to plan your courses.

At the top of the meeting planner you see information about the current event or meeting. In this example, we are planning an additional meeting for course "Aachen" on 18 June 2001.
The meeting planner offers two modes: you can select the time and duration of the meeting or event, and KVS will then recommend teachers and rooms. By clicking on the "Planning mode" button you change the order of the fields - you can enter the teacher you want, and KVS will help you find times when that teacher is available to teach the event, as well as a room to hold it in.
Whichever mode you are in, you should always complete the fields from left to right.
For example, look at
the drop-down list at right. In this case, we selected when the event should
take place, and KVS has indicated which teachers are qualified to teach this
event, and whether or not they are free. The note "busy" indicates
that the teacher is assigned to another event at the same time, whereas the
simple dash indicates that the teacher is not available to teach at this time.
(The times teachers are available are entered via the teacher edit form.)
Recommendations for
rooms are similar, except that - in place of qualifications - suitability is
considered. Suitability is based on room size as compared to the size of the
course, and whether or not multimedia is present, if required for the course.
The note "suit" indicates that a room is suitable, "free"
means that it is unoccupied, and "occ" that it is occupied. (Room size
and media are entered via Parameters:Rooms.)
