Course
CounselingIn the course-counseling window one can search for suitable courses, based on subject, start-date, course-type and course-level.

After these values have been selected, and the search-button has been clicked, all suitable open courses will be shown. Course levels are forecast to the desired start-date, and courses expected to be closest to the desired level are shown in green. The allowable difference can be set under File:Options:General. Courses within twice this tolerance are shown in yellow, and courses within three times the tolerance are shown in red. All other courses are omitted.
Under "free places" you will see how many places are expected to be free. For example, the course London does not start until 1 December 2001. There are three places definitely free, and possibly a fourth. The "possibly" indicates that a student who has attended this course in the past has used up all available credit, but has not definitely cancelled and may renew. The expected attendance for the courses is shown for the next few weeks after the start date.
