Addresses
The first step in defining a student, teacher or company is to enter the
address information associated with the person or organization. All entices are
self-explanatory, except possibly for the following:
- Unique name. When you enter a new address, the first thing you need
to define is the unique name or key by which this address is
recognized by the rest of KVS. This name can be alphanumeric (i.e.,
made up of numbers and or letters). We strongly recommend using a naming
convention that lets you recognize an address easily from the unique name,
e.g.,, last name followed by a comma followed by first name (e.g. Smith,
John). The unique name cannot be changed later.
- Form of address. Leave this field blank unless you must use a special form
of address. For example, you may address most of your customers as Dear
Mr./Ms. XXX, but this person is a friend and should be addressed by first
name. You could then enter "Dear John," as the form of address.
- Language. What language should be used when writing correspondence? KVS
will automatically select Word templates of the appropriate language.
- Password. If this person is allowed to log into KVS as an individual, this
is their password. If you leave this field blank, they are not allowed to
log into KVS. At this time, only teachers can log into KVS.
- AccountID. In most cases, you will not need to change this field. Please
refer to the documentation for your particular accounting package for
further information.
